The North Rip of Block Island is red hot for Bluefish action and Striped Bass are in the mix. Vertical jigging the larger size Deadly Dick lures are very productive since they are very close in size to the sand eels that Bass and Blues are feeding on. The southwest area of Block Island is also very productive. Most times,it is not necessary to travel the additional distance to that side of the Island with the action available at the North end.
Fluke, sea bass and scup are active in 35 - 50 feet off Point Judith.
