Captain Sheriff chartered with 3 clients for Tautog on Sunday morning off the Newport area reefs. We fished in the NW gusty winds on an outgoing tide. The group caught 35 Tautog's in just over 2hrs. Of the 37 Tautog's caught, 27 were keepers over 16 inches and weighing up to 7 lbs. In a act of conservation, the group did not keep their legal limit of 8 per person.
